Foredge User Data Security Protection Statement
This statement may not cover all possible user data processing scenarios. Statements involving user data processing in specific scenarios may be provided by Foredge in a supplementary statement or before collecting user data.
We collect and use user data
User data refers to information that can identify a specific user when used alone or in combination with other information. After reading and agreeing to this statement, user data will be collected when using our products or services to provide you with quality services. We may also use your User Data to conduct internal audits, data analysis and research, and to improve our products and services.
User data protection
Foredge will not access any user data without the user’s authorization and consent, and has taken practical technical security and organizational measures:
Users have the right to grant and close personally identifiable sensitive information (such as email address, mobile phone number, etc.). This information is protected by the AES-256 encryption algorithm* and stored in the ASW CLOUD data center through a multi-layer data security protection mechanism to ensure user privacy and Data Security.
Our servers only identify switch-related device and application information when providing services. We do not access any user data during this process.
*AES-256 encryption algorithm is currently recognized as the most secure symmetric encryption algorithm. Its key length is 256 bits and is widely used to protect sensitive data such as financial transactions and medical records.
Data storage security
Supports storing passwords and using AES256 encryption. When the encryption function is turned on, only the user has the permission to access the onboard storage data, and Foredge cannot obtain the password.
Data can be erased on request
We offer ways to clear data and delete accounts, which will delete any data generated while using the device:
You can delete your account through the Foredge Explorer application and delete all data associated with the account as well as the logs and cache of the application itself.
After the account is deleted, logs and other information on the server will be automatically deleted.
You can restore your device’s factory settings through the system settings on your device.
How to transfer user data across borders
As a global company, your user data collected by Foredge may be stored in the country/region where you use our products and services, or where Foredge or its affiliates, subsidiaries, service providers or business partners exist. country/region for processing or access. These jurisdictions may have different data protection laws.
In such cases, Foredge will take steps to ensure that the data is processed in accordance with the requirements of this Statement and applicable law, including when the data subject’s user data is transferred from the EU to a country or region that has a level of data protection that has not been recognized by the European Commission.
