1. Project background
Tianjin Bandung Hutong Commercial Center is a commercial center located in the core area of the city center. It covers an area of 13.6 hectares and has a construction area of about 300,000 square meters. It is composed of 12 buildings. The main building is a 3-story steel structure building. . Together with the nearby ancient culture street and food street, it forms Tianjin’s historical, cultural, commercial and tourist attractions.
The district has scientific planning, branches and markets, and distinctive market operation characteristics. In addition to large-scale commodity wholesale markets, there are also various professional wholesale markets, opening up new business areas for hundreds of millions of merchants. The building complex has complete passenger elevators, freight elevators, air conditioning, and transportation facilities. It also has complete supporting functions such as passenger transportation center, freight center, warehousing center, large parking lot, economical hotel, office apartment, leisure and entertainment center, and catering, which can attract maximum passenger flow. And provide a variety of high-quality services.
2. Demand analysis
Considering the special situation of concentrated people and large flow of people in the shopping mall, Party A wants to set up an effective monitoring system.
At present, most of the front-end cameras and other equipment of security monitoring systems are powered by a single DC 12V power supply mode. There are many hidden dangers in terms of reliability, stability and standardization. Small power supplies do not have lightning protection and grounding. Those small power supplies with plastic shells cannot be grounded at all, and their heat dissipation is also very poor. At the same time, many small power supplies piled up in the cabinet look very messy. This power supply mode cannot guarantee the reliability and stability of the system, nor can it achieve the standardization of system integration.
From a safety perspective to prevent problems before they occur, we decided to adopt the installation method of “no strong electricity in the line” and adopt the PoE power supply method.
3. Customer needs
1. A stable and reliable real-time video surveillance system is required, and the transmission network must be stable and reliable;
2. The equipment provided meets the monitoring needs and can provide stable power supply to all surveillance cameras 24 hours a day.

4. Scheme design
After inspecting 170 multi-channel monitoring points on site, it was finally decided to use 12 24-port PoE switches PS3024 as the access layer, which are directly connected to the surveillance cameras through network cables.
The total power supply of this PoE power supply equipment is 440W. The dual power supplies provide independent power supply. The mainboard and PoE are powered separately, which can ensure that the surveillance camera can work stably even after turning on the infrared light at night. For long-distance transmission, its Gigabit optical port can be used for uplink. .
